Letterlinks for Preschools
Letterlinks is a resource, a flexible tool that can be used in any learning environment. You may choose to use all or part of it depending on the needs of your children.
As long as the children have the character name, sound and action secure they can begin to make links to the various spelling patterns.
We recommend Using Letterlinks at Preschool, the Frieze, the Cue Cards, the Alphabet Book and the Linker Songs CD. For group or one to one use, substitute the Character Card for the Frieze. If handwriting is your focus, use the Letter Formation Copymasters.

Preschool Starter Kit

The book Using Letterlinks at Preschool provides a wealth of ideas for structured and unstructured language development and alphabet activities. It is encompasses the Te Whariki structure and is designed to help in weekly planning sessions. The book also provides simple prompts for staff to use.

Letterlinks Alphabet Book. Code L05, $10.00.
The Letterlinks Alphabet Book covers each of the Letterlinks alphabet characters. Stories and pictures develop the use of letter sound. Without any obvious teaching this book describes each one of the Letterlinks characters. Its fine illustrations provide numerous objects (often well hidden) beginning with the letter character's sound for children to search out. Soft covered, A4, 60 pages.

If you are running a 'ready for school' programme you will find some of the school resources helpful. These use the same characters and style as the Preschool material, but will extend your children a little further and prepare them for the future.
